More background on Crushable and what else I’ve been working on: one of my clients is b5media a Toronto-based (but quickly moving to New York) web publishing network that’s been around since ‘04 and gets about 30 million pageviews a month. The company has recently made a lot of exciting changes, catalyzed by a new round of funding and a new CEO, Elaine Kunda (pictured above), who’s reshaping it as a global lifestyle brand.
I was brought in to advise on and launch several new properties, the first of which, Crushable.com, launched today. It’s helmed by Erin Carlson, Amanda Ernst and Jean Bentley.
We’ve also made some other great hires, including Michael Orell on the sales side, SaveTheAssistants founder and former Jewcy editor Lilit Marcus, AskMelissa’s Jennifer Wright, and travel writer Christine Egan. More about their sites to come.
