I should also note that if the opening dashboard is any indication, I have very little overlap with the average Pinterest user, who is interested in:

- Home cooking with processed foods (though I ate enough hamburger helper and the like growing up to appreciate the 200 casseroles you can make out of Ritz crackers)

- Very elaborate braided hairstyles (I have long hair and can’t braid correctly, but am okay with it because I don’t think it’s a critical life skill)

- Trite aphorisms embroidered, painted onto canvas, or otherwise displayed as home decor (“You’re prettier when you’re happy!” No, you’re not.)

- Trite aphorisms attributed to the wrong author. (Thomas Jefferson definitely did not say that. Definitely not. And that font is just hideous.)

- Cupcakes. (Overrated.)

- Wedding gowns, vintage wedding rings, wedding anythings (Look, I’m not gonna pretend I see no context where those things would ever be interesting to me, but I’m not exactly picking out schools for kids or retirement homes for myself either at the moment, so…)

- Weird nail art. (I just… can’t.)

- Weird cocktails. Okay, you know what? Weird cocktails I can maybe get behind. But only if they’re delicious. Is there a cocktail-only version of Pinterest? I could maybe do that one.

I also hate the color pink, and have since I was a kid, and apparently that’s a factor.
