Memo to the Observer honchos: Do not merge with this “news” site if you value journalistic credibility. Mediaite is a fucking joke, okay? It is as biased as it is illiterate.
What the heck, Mediaite? Why do you just let your writer just drop an ad-hominem attack on the subject of an article, unchecked? It’s one thing to disagree with Michael Moore; plenty of people do this already. Frances Martel took it a step further by calling Michael Moore a communist in the VERY FIRST SENTENCE of a story, then drawing reference to it at the very end of said story. Uncalled-for.
Peter connects with a left hook to the body and follows up with an uppercut to the head.
We have zero plans to merge, partner, or anything of the sort with mediaite. That story was utter bullshit. (Reporter never called me for comment, btw.)
That said, the subject of the story has every incentive to suggest that there’s interest since he’s attempting to raise money for his company. But a courtesy meeting that took place ages ago is not the same thing as “serious talks”.
